Well.. Start giving reasons.....
I think you've made your feelings perfectly clear.
No good can come of this thread.
Grow up, Chris. Maybe you'd be more comfortable in the gamefaqs forum?
If you call one PS2 and the other Xblows, why do you care wich one is better? Like Brian said seems you have formed your opinion already.. sure you didn't mean to post this over at gamefaqs or ign.com forums?
I very sorry i made all you guys so mad, i just wanted to see what you guys thought.
I think you spent zero time reading these forums to see what they're about before posting.
Nice thread......FOR ME TO POOP ON!
Okay, Chris, obviously you're new to the forum and I see you're relatively young as well (16, right?) I'm not going to kick you while you're down. This thread will no doubt get locked, and let me explain why. We try to maintain an atmosphere of mutual respect and courtesy here, unlike just about every other internet forum I've ever seen. That means no personal attacks, no name-calling, all that stuff. That's not to say we don't have major arguments, especially when it comes to the merits of each of the consoles. But we try to keep our discourse at an adult level, so you won't see any "Lamecube" or "Xblows" comments here.
If you are honestly interested in a comparison of the two consoles, there have been many threads discussing everything from hardware, to games, to online services, to exclusive franchises, both here and in the "videogame software" forum. Might I suggest you do a quick search? Alternatively, if you have a specific question you can start another thread with a less...distasteful title.
Dave (who isn't auditioning for a moderator role, honest.)
Romier - I love that image.
This sure doesn't look like IGN Boards
This thread is going to be locked any minute... so let me just get my point across. First of all, read the rules... putting even the littlest bad word like "blows" is looked down upon and the thread will either be locked or the titled changed. We talk as adults here and while there can be "creative criticism"... console bashing is looked down upon as "juvenile."
I just want to echo the comments of the others in this thread... make a new topic, put some substance into it, and try again
(that or try the search engine under "XBOX vs. PS2")
Which system is better? Whichever has the games you are wanting to play at any given moment. Last year Xbox was the best system, because it had DOA3 and Halo. Now Gamecube is better to me because it has Mario, and soon Metroid. PS2 might be my favorite a week from now when I link up a few consoles for a little LAN Timesplitters 2!
It all boils down to what games you want to play!
14 hours and still no padlock on this thread. Amazing.....
Gamefaqs...I know those boards...
I go there on a regular basis. If you can weed out about 99.9% of the childish garbage over there, you can find useful information.
Romier you should know better, that pic is not OAR.
All the consoles are good.
There. I said it.
I have never frequented the game faq boards, after experiencing IGN boards for a while I have grown to dislike almost all public forums, except HTF. I think that is a testament to the great work the admins put in here.
I have used GameFaqs a lot though, but never their forums. Their Faqs are invaluable on the site.
And yes, as Calvin said, all consoles are good. But as I said, it is dependant on games. Games are what sells a console and right now is a good time to be a gamer. I just want a fierce competetion like we had back in the Genesis/SNES days. Some great games came from the very close race.
Not true. The Amstrag GX400 didn't have a single good game released for it, and so is therefore bad.
(yes, I'm being pointlessly picky)
Just a matter of opinion on what game is bad. I never heard of that system, so I cannot say. But you know there is one person somewhere out there that thinks that system is good
I am curoius to hear CHris Riccio's reasons for liking certain consoles over others though. He started the thread for a reason and I am curious as to his opinion.
