Looks like Sony is finally starting to get serious about the PS2's online plans. Looking forward to seeing what games Sony has lined up.

Anyone know anything about this game Tribes: Aerial Assault? It's one of the 3rd party games listed in Sony's online launch.

Tribes 2 is my all-time favorite online game. It's my understanding the entire Tribes 2 team defected to Sony to create a knock-off of Tribes 2 for PS2. The interesting thing is that in the announcement of Tribes: Aerial Assault it lists Sierra as the developer. Odd.

Tribes: Aerial Assault is a port of the PC game Tribes 2, with some added things in it. From what I understand the game is done, just waiting on Sony to release the network adapter so people could actually play it.

Since the article mentioned that beta testing will begin this month, have any of those who mentioned a month or so ago that they recieved an email from Playstation Underground, been fortunate to be a tester?

That sentence wasn't the greatest, sorry!

Planetside...that sounds familiar. I think that might be the one the Tribes2 team took on.

In the same vein as Tribes but without the jet pack as I understand it.
