    Hello all,

I seem to be having a problem with my PS/2 port for my keyboard. I am running windows 2K on a dell dimension xps 400, 400mhz 160ram.

I am able to use both keyboard and mouse through the USB ports on the machine, it recognizes that fine.

I hook up mouse to the mouse PS/2 connection and works fine. I hook up keyboard to keyboard PS/2 connection I am able to use keyboard to enter bio setup but once machine enters startup with blue bar across bottom of screen I lose my keyboard but mouse is ok in both USB and PS/2 ports.

Have ran many trouble shoots, I have tried running keyboard into mouse PS/2 connector but still no luck. Machine says PS/2 102 key keyboard is working properly. Windows is just not recognizing my keyboard over my PS/2 connection.
I don't think it's a solder problem because I am able to use mouse in both PS/2 connectors.

    Any suggestions?
