    Hey Everyone,

This is my first post here, very cool site!

I just bought a 42" Grand Wega LCD HDTV projection with HDMI input for a smokin price. And I have a DVD player/connection question.

I currently have a panasonic proscan DVD player hooked up with S video cable. This summer I won a Sony upconverting DVD player at a golf tournament and it has a HDMI port.

To get the best picture with my new tv, should I be running the proscan or the upconverting DVD player??

What type of cable would give me the best result, component or HDMI???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

HDMI for sure! Especially if you don't have a surround sound system.. One Cable does it all!... ... Retire your proscan to the next garage sale. If the best output on that is S-Video it's not even Progressive scan. Those land fills are filling up quickly these days!. Wait til the HD format comes fully around... your upconverting DVD player will be the next one in the pile.
