Proper TV Height? (1 Viewer)

Hi there,
I am new and this is my first post. After reading much I am building a flexy rack to house my 27" Toshiba Flat screen tv and other conponents. I need to know what height I should put it at and the proper veiwing didstance from it. Thank you for your help.

Direct view sets like yours don't lose brightness when viewed from above or below screen level the way rptvs do, so in this case screen height is wherever you like it.

Proper viewing distance would most probably be as close as possible without scanlines being too distracting, usually about 6 or 8 feet on a 27" analog set.
