I just picked up a TS1000 from someone over at Audiogon. It was delivered today. I've been playing around with ProntoEdit and it looks like I have many hours of tinkering to come! I hear the learning curve is pretty steep with the software. Does anyone have any advice on where to start? And yes I've been reading the FAQs over at Remote Central. I just wonder if there is something that will help a complete newbie?

Browse Remote Central and find the CCF that you like the most and covers the most of your components. Customize it and perhaps "borrow" components from other CCFs and you should be all set. And learning curve is not that tough IMHO. Enjoy your Pronto!
