Hello all,

I have been researching projectors for a few weeks now, and am having trouble settling on one. My application is a conference room, but I'd like to have the ability to show movies and enjoy it. So, I need lumens so presentations with the lights on are not a problem, but contrast/HDMI etc for movies. I'll be hooking up some Polk's down the road as well for some good sound.

I like these two projectors, but the low lumens is a problem. Are there any similar projectors with high lumens (2000 to 2500)? I would like VGA, HDMI,
Composite Video, S-Video and Component inputs. Also sub $1000 would of course be great. Am I out of touch with reality?

Any tips or help in the right direction would be appreciated.

Possible, but high price tag:

Epson 720 or the mits you posted would be your best bet with plenty of light output. Good luck

BenQ SP820 might be another good choice for you other than W500. It's 4000Ansi Lumens.
BenQ USA - Consumer Electronics

Either BenQ W500 or SP820 you can buy directly from BenQ online store. Here is a promo code they offer to this forum's members - thankyou10 - to save extra 10% off. W500 after promo code is $764 which is even better than newegg's price plus you are dealing directly with BenQ I would think it's more reliable than dealing with its reseller.

Thanks for the feedback! After much stalling and researching, I'm going to go with the BenQ MP624 (not yet released)

Looks like a solid projector with good lumens and contrast, plus HDMI.
