To take advantage of a progressive scan dvd player you must have a digital tv (hdtv). Then it would be a benifit to use a progressive scan dvd player to get rid of the interlaced lines.

    Greetings

Progressive scan 480p signals only work with HDTV's or TV's that are 480p capable.

Interlaced TV's are not compatible (unless you have a rare RCA brand)

    Regards
