I am trying to program my Time Warner UR5-8400 remote for volume and DVD. I turned to the remote setup channel, and tried all the codes for SONY.

I am programming this remote for a SONY DAV-FX500 HTIB. Not sure how to get this to work. I need to setup the DVD and the Volume.
I press the DVD button w/ the SELECT button as directed and enter the 3 digit code. Nothing seems to work. Has anyone else have this problem, or has solved it?

    Please help!!!!

More than likely the remote from time warner will NOT be able to work you HTIB. They do not have that vast of an IR Database built into their remotes.

You should look at a good universal "LEARNING" remote. Then even if the IR Codes are not in the Remote you can "learn" them into the remote.

A Good Basic Universal Learning Remote would be the Home theater Master MX-500.
