Proficient Audio In Wall Speakers? (1 Viewer)

Hi Everyone, I just joined after spending the last couple weeks reading this forum.

I have an installer coming out next week to install 3 Proficient Audio 6.5" LCR In Wall Speakers (Model IW675S) as my Left, Center and Right channels and 2 of the C801 in ceiling speakers for my rear surround for my living room TV/Movie enjoyment. They will be powered by a brand new Yamaha RX-A870 receiver I just got from Fry's at a great price. Does anyone on here have any experience with this line of speakers? I was first quoted for the 5.25" LCR speakers, and for $119/speaker more, I talked myself into the 6.5" hoping for better/louder sound. If it was a waste of money, oh well, its too late now.

I know Proficient Audio is owned by Speakercraft, and I had Speakercraft speakers in my dedicated theater room in my previous home and thought they sounded excellent.

I was just wondering if anyone on here knows about these speakers at all, as I have not had a chance to hear them yet, and my installer hasn't either (he said this line of in wall speakers are relatively new) and he only has had experience with the older generation Proficient Audio line.

I've seen their older line, and it was "okay" - nothing special. I am afraid I can't comment on how they may have improved things.

You could take a look at RSL or some other internet direct brands and probably get more value for your money.
