I have personally compared Bryston with Proceed and have found the later to be a step above the Bryston sound. No grain at any volume and much more relaxed at any volume level is how I would characterize the Proceed sound. The Bryston with its 20 yr warranty is a good deal but they are both equally well built and would easily outlast you
Calvin actually emailed me, and I passed on my reasons why I went with Proceed. Both are great amps. I'd look around for a BPA 3 though. (The BPA 3 is an evolution of the AMP 3's design. Not that different, but with some improvements. But I also just prefer the looks of the BPA series.)
