Ok,

My dad has a 50" Fujitsu plasma with all of his components plugged into a so-called plasma proof IR eye/receiver. His remotes will work MAYBE 10 to 15% of the time and it's has become unbearable. Money is not a huge concern here, we just want to get everything working the way it should.

Would this: http://www.abtelectronics.com/product/16512.html

along with an RF capable remote solve all my problems?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

PJ

The CSL-friendly IR recvrs are not all that wonderful since they block out many of the common IR frequencies (sounds like your problem). I talked to a Xantech rep at CES about this and he recommended that I try the regular IR recvr instead...I did just that when I got back in town and now the light on the IR recvr block glows slightly when the TV is on but all remotes now work perfectly.
