I'm using a pretty old computer by todays standards (bought in 1997), and so my printer has been working fine, until last week. But it wasnt the printer itself, the connection to the printer port had plugged out! I tried plugging it back in, but that didn't work. What to do?

    " had plugged out!"

We'd like to help, but what does that mean.

I mean that the direct connection from the female plug to the motherboard had disconnected. Better?

Seeing that its from 1997, i doubt the LPT port is directly attatched to the Mobo.

There should be a flat cable that goes from the port to your mobo. Cant you just plug it back in?
