Today, I purchased Dr. Chesky's 5.1 Surround Show. I noticed a buzzing sound coming from the speakers on some of the tracks. When I pause the player, the buzzing stops completely, so is it the recording or my player? It doesn't do it on all the tracks, so I think it may be a bad recording even though I've heard great things about Chesky discs. Anyone else notice this?

Pioneer 578A. It has never done it with any of my other SACD's or DVD-A's, and this disk only has the annoying background buzz on certain tracks. Very disappointing.

I know the 563 had firmware issues and I have read some stuff about the 578 like: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...ht=Pioneer+578

You should try the disc in another player (e.g. at a store or a friend's house, even another 578 at a store). On of the things about DVD-A is that there are variations in authoring.
