Just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong with it. The other day my sub started making poping noises. It does it about an hour after I use it. I know its not being pushed to hard because it does it even at low listening levels. The only way I can stop it from making noise is to unplug it and plug it back in.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you added anything electrical to the home? New waterbed, new water heater, new light dimmers...anything?
Does the sub do the same thing if you leave it plugged in, but disconnect the cable running to the receiver?(don't disconnect the cable WITH the subwoofer plugged in though:) ). What receiver/subwoofer are you using?

I haven't added anything electrical to the house. Just to make sure it wasn't the wiring in the house I brought it to my friends house and it did the same thing. It dosn't matter if I unplug the cable it still makes the poping sound.

I'm using a Quest qs10 sub on a Kenwood vr507. From what I was told all quest speakers are made by jbl.

It sounds like it is time to contact the dealer you purchased it from. Hopefully it is still under warranty?
