Problem with 'Shallow Hal' disc? (1 Viewer)

I bought Shallow Hal yesterday and the movie froze at 0' 43" of Chapter 19 which, I assume, contains the layer change. The only thing I could do about it was jump to the next chapter. Anyone else have this problem? My player is a Sony DVP-S3000.

I had a problem when Hal meets the redhead in the dancing club.
It started to pixel and freeze.
I own a JVC XV D723.
Looks like it back to Best Buy for me
