Problem with Samsung Home Theater System (1 Viewer)

I have a HT-DM150 and recently when playing a DVD it will just stop and the screen turn black. It does this with different movies and at different times. The system is really hot when you touch it. After powering it down it cools off. It's only a couple of years old at most.
Any ideas?

Hi Keith.

You have already diagnosed the problem - heat.

Do you have the unit in an enclosed cabinent? Do you have something stacked on top of the unit blocking the vents. Could the vent holes be plugged with dust-bunnies? A small AC fan can be placed to blow on the unit to help with cooling.

Thanks Bob, I did have something on it but I took it off. It seemed to help but then reverted back. I'll try and make sure the vent holes aren't plugged.
