Problem with HK AVR-225 (1 Viewer)

I finally hooked up a optical cable to my Directivo. On programming with analog sound it works fine and in the correct surround mode, when I change to a program that is in DD then it senses that and changes to the optical input, but when I change to another program and is analog the reciever go back to analog but it is in stereo mode (no surround). I have it coming into the video 1 input. Anyone got some ideas??

Wow this sucks. I have posted 2 threads here but did not get a response on either one. I was hoping for a little more help than that.

I have a H/K 310 and also a directtv tivo and what i've noticed that some programs are D.D. and not 5.1 surround.

I have the same problem with my AVR225 using TW Digital cable.
When switching from digital to analog it default to surround off.
Just have to keep switching back to PLII or Logic 7.
