Problem only have surround sound on Blue ray (1 Viewer)

Hi i have a Panasonic SA BT730 Home Theatre and a Toshiba 55G300U TV All connections are hooked up correctly,and is set up using HDMI, (the Blue ray home theartre remote VIERA and the TV remote is on the REGZA control. Can only get surround sound when blue ray is playing and not on tv Android box.We also do Karaoke using the ipad.I cleaned it all and all wires are in right just can not get surround sound on TV. I panicked and can not remember what i messed up on remotes ( iam 50 so that's my excuse ),have gone through both manuells on the net but way too much to take in. Can any-one help ?
