I don't know if this is the appropriate forum for this question, but it can't hurt to try.

I am connecting a Denon AVR-4806 using the HDMI output into a Mits HC-900 with an HDMI to DVI converter. The picture, whether I am looking at a DVD menu or a blank screen with just the Denon onscreen menu, looks great, as far as the left two-thirds are concerned, but the right third of the screen is a repeat of the left third. I have tried every setting change I can find. Normally I would have defaulted to the assumption of faulty equipment, but this is my first install with an upconverted HDMI out, and I can't help but wonder if the two just aren't communicating properly. Any suggestions?

OK, THE NEW DENON IS A MOTHER OF COMPLEXITY SO HERE GOES-
YOU NEED TO CHANGE TO THE COMPONENT OUTPUT TEMPORARILY, WITH THE GOAL TO ACCESS THE DENONS VIDEO INPUT- HDMI OUTPUT MENU 4-4, SET UP MENU WITHOUT IT BEING DISTORTED SO AS TO CHANGE THE COLOR SPACE TO RGB . TRY TURNING THE UPCONVERSION OFF. DOES THE PROJECTOR SHOW THE SIGNALS SCAN RATE?
