I have noticed recently that there is only a Pan and Scan Version of this on the shelves. How about a Special Edition with a commentary from the director and Goldie Hawn???

Sounds like a good idea to me. This was a pretty good movie and deserves good DVD treatment.

    You mean a matted version.

You mean that the existing version is an open matte, Patrick. I believe there are also scenes that are pan-and-scanned where open matte didn't work out for various reasons.
In essence, we are asking for a version in the theatrically-presented widescreen ratio, instead of whatever it is the existing edition has.
Also, clean it up. It basically looks like shit; too murky and grainy. It could use a higher bit-rate, etc. A very weak release, and I'm glad I saw it at a friend's for a few minutes rather than spend a dime on it, even for rental.
I'll wait on re-release for this much-beloved film.
