I recently got a used computer with Windows XP.

I also have an Espon Color Stylus 640 Printer.

I did the drivers for the printer, but when I try to print anything nothing happens.

I gave the printer to a friend and the printer worked fine on his computer.

When I looked up the Device Manager, the Printer Port is highlighted with a yellow circle.

I clicked on the properties and found the following.

This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)

How do I make the printer port work?

Just a guess: reboot the computer and go into BIOS Setup. Check that the port is enabled, and preferably set to ECP or EPP mode.
