Just wondering if you all thought this seemed like fair pricing.

    Paradigm Titans $184/pr

    Paradigm Atoms $159/pr

    Paradigm CC-170 $169

It looked pretty good to me, just wondering what you all thought.

    thanks

Generally speaking if you can get a 10 - 15% discount off the list price on Paradigm, that is a good price. I am not familiar with the Performance series, though to say these are good prices.

That's right at 15% so I'm gonna go with it.
    thanks

for $15 more why not get 2 pairs of Titans and a pair of Atoms... use 3 titans in front, atoms as surrounds, and the extra titan for the surround back channel if/when you do 6.1. You would have a perfectly matched front sound stage (very desirable) and the ability to do 6.1 whenever you want.

    Just a thought.

That's an interesting thought, but that CC-170 is significantly larger than a Titan, and I thought having a dedicated center was very, very important as it carries the majority of the dialogue, and sounds in general in a home theater setup. Also, I doubt I would ever upgrade to 6.1, I probably won't upgrade for a couple years anyway and by then hopefully I can afford a couple of Digm towers and will go straight to 7.1, 8.1, or 10.2 or whatever the standard will be by then. I also will probably have to look into replacing the sub at some point as I'm not entirely thrilled with my current one.

I think you are on the right track with the combination you have chosen. Happy listening with your Paradigms.
