FWIW, the sale has already begun now for handful of the BD and 4K titles, including Full Metal Jacket 4K and Goonies 4K for $10 each. Not sure how long some of them will stay available.

Next wave of preview sale began today... seems mostly $10 BDs and $15 4K discs of Marvel titles.

I might go for the Ant-Man 4K, but not sure I wanna open the Marvel 4K can of worms w/ the rest (older titles) -- I did also pick up the 2 Avengers Infinity War 4K on used market on top of Black Panther, Captain Marvel and the Ant-Man sequel in 4K (w/out double-dip)...

Problem is can't get free shipping for Ant-Man 4K alone -- suppose I could just do local pickup. :P

Saw my first BF discs at my local Walmart today (do we have a thread for Walmart BF? I couldn't fine one). Much smaller selection than in past years, unless this is just the first "wave". Also disappointed that it seemed to be largely DVD, especially the TV titles.

Can't really remember any specific prices, but titles I can remember included:

Jumanji sequels (combo pack of both films)
Spider-Man Homecoming & Far from Home (combo both films)
Venom
Rambo: Last Blood (4K and blu)
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ($6, this is the only one I bought)
Angel Has Fallen
Bad Boys for Life
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker
Inside Out (Pixar)
Monsters University (plus other Disney/Pixar titles I cannot recall)
3 From Hell
Underworld (5-movie set)
Invisible Man (2020)
Hobbs & Shaw
Top Gun (4K and blu)
John Wick films
Midway (4K and blu)
IT
Joker
James Bond collections (DVD: Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan)
Game of Thrones
The Outsider (HBO, DVD)
The Walking Dead
Black Sails (DVD)
The White Queen (DVD)
Power (DVD)
Supernatural (S14 DVD)
The Flash (S6 DVD)
Rick & Morty (DVD only)
Dr. Who
Da Vinci's Demons (DVD)
Spartacus (Starz series, DVD)

I placed this order at 11:49 am.

I had a shipping notice at 3:22 pm.

Take a note Amazon. That's prompt free shipping, and I don't have to pay BB $129 a year for it.

Yeah, I jumped on a small batch of mostly 4K titles I had been waiting for when I spotted the Amazon's usual apparent PM early this morning as well. Briefly considered just ordering them from Amazon, but decided I should give this business to BB instead since they deserve it (and probably need it) more -- and it's better for everyone if BB does at least reasonably well, especially nowadays... Plus I needed to earn (just) enough BB points for their reward GC before I lose them...

I did already order some ($~100 total) yesterday from Amazon anyway when I spotted this enticing, targeted Amex upto-$10-10%-back offer. Bought a few Criterion BDs w/ that, including Ghost Dog -- some had additional coupons on top of their $20 PM of B&N sale -- plus a couple others (a Cohen French film plus a less-known Ghibli) that dropped to $10-12, which are rare. Still plan to spend some more at B&N's sale though, including the Fellini set -- will use my Discover rewards for that, especially since they're apparently offering a bigger 20% bonus for B&N redemption now.

The early deals appear to still be active today at both Best Buy and Amazon. Perhaps they will remain active until they sell out.

Another new batch, especially 4K discs, went on sale early this morning... and a few sold out (or are in dwindling in-store availability only) already -- I was kinda eye-ing Lucy 4K for $8, but that actually sold out before the price drop.

Of course, Amazon PMed most of them... though many probably sold out quickly as seems to happen w/ them.

I did manage to buy a mix of everything I wanted (except Lucy 4K) between BB and Amazon -- and did a $2 (BF) week-long Prime deal to order whichever from Amazon and benefit from their $1-per-item no-rush promo credits just for the week... and will probably also make a Whole Foods run w/ our Amazon Prime Visa CC... :D

The only thing I wanted that I've not been able to get, at least at the more-than-reasonable $9.99 BB price, is the Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who - Season 3 BR set. It was sold out 2-3 weeks ago and has not come back into stock even though it's part of their BF sale. I really expected them to magically get some in stock when the Doctor Who titles went live but it didn't happen. :(

Amazon has it for ~$35 (after applying a coupon) but I'm not buying at that price.

I picked up some of the UHD Star Wars titles for $15 each. I’m not UHD disc capable yet but they also include BDs of the new masters and digital copy codes, so I figure that’s what I’m really buying and if I ever get a UHD player then I’ll be all set.

I managed an all-time low in BF purchases of BD/UHD this BF:

UHD Birds of Prey
BD Steel book of Tomb Raider.

That's it.

I grabbed rogue one, attack of the clones and Sherlock Holmes a game of shadows from Best Buy.

I purchased a number of other films on digital only. I discovered I had a fandango gift card and I also bought an iTunes card from target during the sale.

I’m buying more movies but mostly digital with a few discs here and there.

Best Buy cancelled my order of 4K The Dark Knight Rises and Black Hawk Down, saying they did not know when they'd be able to get them. Kind of bizarre, as I checked their website after I received the cancel notice and both were still showing as available for ordering/shipping.
