Anyone catch this on dvdreview about Atlantis?

In the tradition of Disney’s release strategy, “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” will come to DVD in two separate incarnations...
Interestingly, the standard release will also feature a pan & scan version of the movie. (in addition to the Instead, the Collector’s Edition will feature a DTS audio track, alongside the 5.1 channel Dolby Digital track that can be found on both releases...
scheduled for release on January 29. The standard release will carry a $19.95 retail price, while the Collector’s Edition will have an affordable $29.95 price tag.

Sounds like a good definition of "Collector's Edition".

Old news. This was on DVDFile a little while back.
It also seems like Disney is going back to their old practice of releasing CE at a later date than regular editions (Tarzan and A Bug's Life). I prefered it the other way they had it With Dinosaur and ENG being day and date with their regular versions.
Still, looking forward to this one. Nadia controversy and all.

I haven't seen any indication that the non-SE edition of ATLANTIS will be released first... aren't both editions scheduled to street on January 29th?

DVDFile or The Bits reported that there might be a delay, but either the same day or the next day came back with the confirmation that both versions will street on the same day.

If anyone can provide clarification on this it would be appreciated. I recall them announcing separate releases at separate dates.
    From DVDfile:
Announced last week, there seems to be some discrepancies between dates on the website and the press release, but going with the release, the standard edition will debut on 1/29 and include the same features as previously indicated. Also being released - on 3/19 according to the website, and not specified in the press release - is a deluxe two-disc Collector's Edition, complete with tones of extras. Presented in a THX-certified 2.35;1 anamorphic widescreen transfer only (the pan & scan version will not be included on this version) with Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround tracks, this release includes all of the extras of the standard release plus....

DVDFile later corrected itself...both the special edition and the standard version are scheduled for release on 1/29.
