"Press Touch Focus" (1 Viewer)

I am confused.
When setting the convergence in Service Menu, should I press "Touch Focus" to save the settings or just press "7" again to exit?
What difference do the two exit methods make?

Service MODE:
Just Press #7 again.
On some sets like mine, Pressing "Touch Focus" mis-aligns the GRIDS, basically messing up all the GRID convergence work.

I have only hit the button once on day 1. I have even considered locking the front panel controls so it doesn't get hit accidentally.
I normally cycle through the other modes to correct any glaring misconvergance.

Although I've seen a couple of sets where the Touch Focus worked perfectly after a service convergence, the vast majority of them do not. I don't bother with it anymore and advise my customers not to either.
I really have no idea why they urge you press that button in the first place. I have not detected any downside to skipping it.
