DVD Empire just put up the following titles for preorder @ $28 each on 1/23:

Alien Vs. Predator (unrated and theatrical version on disk)

BOTH cuts of AVP? Think they went seamless branching? I wouldn't want 2 separate cuts of the film compressed onto one disc (unless they're using an advanced codec). The bits reported seamless branching should be working on both formats now. Could this be the first title to employ it?

Yep, it's seamless branching. Listed among the extra features on the site listing.

Sweet. I only have the theatrical cut and didn't want to double-dip that title on DVD. But, I'd pick it up in HD when the time comes.

Yeah, I wasn't going to pick it up for the same reason, but the addition of the unrated cut and HD will probably make me bite.
