    Who makes a real nice preamp($3 to 5000) that has an
    Optimizer/Microphone setup?

    A lot of high end proccessors don't have automatic calibration, it's actually more common in mid-range receivers, under $2000.

    But a few that come to mind are the Lexicon MC-12v.3 (used), EAD Theatermaster 8 Sig (used) and Meridian, although I don't recall which model.

    Thank you for you help. I sorta of guessed that was going to be a problem. I had a Yamaha A/V that had this feature
    and I felt like it did a better job than I could do with
    a meter. At least it would give very close settings that you could tweak if necessary.
