Does anyone know of a high-end PreAmp/Tuner WITHOUT a Dolby Digital decoder, that has BOTH inputs and outputs for Dolby Digital 5.1 signals????
Thanks very much fir your help.

Do you mean a preamp/tuner with digial inputs/outputs?
A unit that will simply pass the compressed DD signal does not exist to my knowledge.

If you are not understanding what I am saying than you are infact looking for a preamp with DIGITAL in/outs.

The problem that you are going to have is that "high end" pre-amps are usually totally analog. The pre/pros that do digital are going to do more than you want.

Fortunatly, I think B&K currently makes one. And if I remember correctly there as a recent thread pertaining to this subject. Look around in the archives.

    good luck

for the most part, all high-end pre-amps do not have tuners. one pre you might wanna consider is the mccormack map-1. it's a completely analog pre-amp with two 5.1 inputs as well as three stereo inputs. there is no tuner however. the map-1 retails for $2499 but you can purchase it for $2199 shipped from tsto.
