I'm looking to connect my turntable through a phono preamp that I could connect to my computer. I'd also like this to serve as a sound card for my laptop. I've been looking at the M-Audio Fast Track Pro and am wondering if you think this would fit the bill? Are there any other products out there that will do this? Will the M-Audio preamp work fine for vinyl?

I was just reading about this product and it appears that it seems to be designed with guitar players in mind. Its only input is a 1/4" phono plug (TRS), but I suppose you can use a mini to RCA Y adapter with a 1/4" adapter fitted over the 1/8" mini plug, but you might still need a phono stage in between, depending on how sensitive the input on the M-Audio gadget is.
