Hi, I wanted to confirm something with you guys/gals. I was told, to save some $$, I could use a Denon 1802,(for pre/pro purpose), and it will work just as good as a 2802, with which ever seprate Amp I decide to purchase(Rotel 1095/Anthem 5II). Is this correct? I was in the process of ordering the 2802 when I was informed of this. And how would the 6.1/7.1 work with it? Im new at this.....

The Denon 1802 only has Preouts for L,C,R,Sub so you would have to go with a 2802. Though I would have to say if you are going to get an AMP and a receiver you would probably be better of just getting a Denon 4802. In the higher end models the receiver should compete better with the Pre/Pro/Amp combo's
