Also, the Sunfire Cinema Grand mk II.
The EAD Ovation and Encore-8 has balanced outputs for front left+right.
The Cary Audio P-7 (I think that's the model #) has optional balanced I/O as well.
I'm sure there are a few more that we're missing, but this should add nicely to the aforementioned list.

Do balanced outputs improve sound much for wire runs less than a meter? I am getting a RDC-7 and will mate it to a Sherbourn 5/1500 amp. I can get the older model Sherbourn for $500 less than the new model 5/1500a. The main difference between the two appears to be the balanced outputs on the new model..Should I save the cash on the older one or go for the balanced?....that is the question.

Though it's getting left behind in the "new" format race, I'll need to plug the Aragon SoundStage. I love it, but a used one will be WELL below your $5k target (around $2k to $2.5k). Also, no six or seven channels, just DD and DTS (with balanced outs). And no DPLII [IMG]
Upgrades are reportedly on the way, but honestly, I just switched to this PrePro just to get up into the DTS realm (ducks to avoid flying objects). [IMG]

I knew I was missing one or two!
Yeah, I can't wait for an updated version of the Soundstage with all the latest bells and whistles.

The Integra Research RDC-7 with the new DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and ProLogic II upgrades is a hard act to follow in the $4,000 and under category. It even gives some slightly more expensive processors a run for the money too.
Some reviews I've read have stated using its balanced outputs into a balanced amplifier did create a better sound quality and a quieter noise floor (into a B.A.T. amplifier and a Theta Dreadnaught). Not by a huge margin, but it was noticable.
I'm sure it also depends how "balanced" the balanced amplifier really is. Some with XLR inputs do not have a 100% balanced electronic topography.
