My dad loved The Practice and I was thinking of getting it for him for father's day, if it's on DVD.

Does anyone know if The Practice is available on DVD, even a best of thing?

    thanks

I would be all over that. Yet no news.

Perhaps it's time for my first vote at TVshowsonDVD.com or whatever that website is.

It's curious that there seems to be no discussion on this one or LA LAW.

I really liked this show. Danny Thomas was very funny on it and Shelley Fabares looked great (as usual). Only 27 episodes so one set will do it!

Hmmm, I guess the original poster should have clarified whether he was asking about the 1976 series starring Danny Thomas, the 1997 legal drama starring Dylan McDermott, or more unlikely, the 1985 British medical soap.

I assumed the original poster meant the long-running medical drama rather than the one-season comedy series, but it doesnt' really matter anyway: none of the above three shows are schedule for a DVD release.

In fact, the company owning the rights to the 1997 series included it in a TV on DVD poll and it was one of the lowest-ranking shows in that poll (I think it included something like 50 or 100 choices and you were supposed to pick five).

Better off to catch the reruns for now.

I was referring to the one with Dylan Mcdermott, the Legal drama that has a spin-off called Boston Legal.
