I'm building a Tumult with 4 Adire 15" PRs. I'm not trying to turn this into the same thread we keep seeing about the Tumult and PRs.

My question is, Are there any adverse side effects to having the cone fire down and a PR on each of the 4 sides of the box? Or would I be better off with two PRs on two opposing sides with the driver downfiring, or firing out one of the two sides that the PRs aren't on? I'm concerned that the first method might have cancellation issues that the might cause the sub to not sound as good as it could.

    Seth,
I would personally mount the Tumult forward firing so as not to lose any xmax to sag and put two PRs on each side.

There are really no "cancellation" issues with the PRs on four sides, but it makes placement tricky. You won't be able to take advantage of the boundary gain from placement against a wall.
