What's the difference between the 2? How do these things affect sound quality, SPL and extention? I would prefer is someone could link me to something that I could read which would explain the differences. BTW, I have WinISD and I'll be using an AV-15.

I now understand how PRs work and how to build a PR sub. But, I'm still left with 1 question. What should I build? I guess this can only be answered by me, I'd have to build both a PR and Vented system and see which one I prefer. Although, I don't have money to play around, so I'd probably be better off doing a vented design as it's cheeper. Later, I can try a PR system.

PR's are best used when a particular driver/alignment calls for a box that's too small to fit adequate diameter porting.
If you can fit enough porting in your box to keep port airspeed acceptable at your desired power level, than you might as well go that way.
