    OK,

I had pretty much decided to get a Monster Power HTS2000 power conditioning power strip to solve a ground loop problem I was having with my satelite TV installation and to also protect my equipment against surges. I went to the store only to find that the 2000 has been replaced by the Powerbar 2100. The new model costs $249.99 and I haven't been able to find it at discount online. The HTS2000 was and I believe still is available online for $106.00. I haven't been able to find any reviews of the new model either.

Here are my questions. Should I get the newer model at much greater cost or try to find the old model? Does anyone know what improvements have been made to the new model? Will it do a better job for me and as such is it worth the increase in price?

    Thanks for all the help!

    Jeff

I think the 1000 is available for $100, but the 2000 is much more. I haven't heard about the new models, but the price difference is not as much as you describe.
