Hello,

I just re-arranged my home theater equipment (to make my wife happy :)) and the new location for the sub-woofer creates a small problem with regards to the power cord. My powered sub has a cord that is 8ft. in length (18 ga). Unfortunately the run to my Monster Power bar is approx. 10ft. I have the cord plugged in to a run-of-the mill surge protector and then into the Power bar. Should I replace the power cord with something like the PINNACLE AC Power Supply Cord by Panamax? It is 12ga., will this be ok?

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I agree. It's not a good idea to have multiple connections in a power cord such as what you've described.
