The new version of Hazel is out, a utility I've read great things about. I've also read about other automator applications, like QuickSilver. But I just don't get it. They sound so neat, and yet I can't figure out how they would help me.

I'm hoping you power users and utility nuts can describe how you use various tools to automate your computing life and hobby- / work-flow.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, though I didn't mean to ask about "Automator" specifically -- I didn't even know there was an Apple app called "Automator" [IMG]

I was originally wondering about programs such as Hazel, QuickSilver, LaunchBar, etc. But Automator is also interesting. I'm curious how people use such tools to make their computing more efficient?
