Asked this question over at another forum and got several replies but no answers. How difficult is it to replace the power cable on a component with an after market one? (I am refering to captured cords).

When you say captured cords...are you referring to built-in or attached power cord? If not, there is an adapter by Harmonic Tech. that can be plugged in the back (of the two prong type cords) and then a Harmonic Tech or other after market power cord can be used injunction with this adapter.
