I was watching Adult Swim on Cartoon Network Sunday night... Their new format has white blurbs of text against a black background with some funky music playing over it.
One of these blurbs said the SG:C2C episodes have been editted down to 11 minutes so that they can fit into the "Willams Street Hour" along with Sealab 2021, Aqua Teen, etc. But it goes on to say that some guy in marketing told them the original versions will be released on DVD in the fall.

It was hard to tell if they were serious or not, but I thought I'd pass it on anyway.

If the episode was the 'commentary' version of Kentucky Nightmare (with Willie Nelson and the shark), the part about the DVD is a joke.

If not, GREAT NEWS!

Edit: I see from the schedule that the episode shown was "Warren". Looks promising for a DVD release!

The comment wasn't made during the show, but between shows... during one of the new Adult Swim promo spots.

I have several dozen eps on tape, but stopped keeping up eventually. Length varies...most could hit 11 minutes if they remove the opening (of course, I love the openings). Some are only about 11 minutes including the credits.

I've got my fingers crossed for a big, fat DVD set with many episodes in the first volume.

I really hope that the info about Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast coming to DVD is true because if it is true then this is excellent news. Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast is one of my favorite Cartoon Network Shows.

Same here, I'll gladly pay for full season sets.

Same goes for Sealab 2021 and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I too read this semi-announcement on Adult Swim. I hope it's on the up-and-up.

All the Williams Street shows on dvd would be amazingly cool releases. I can't get enough of Sealab, and I've been watching Space Ghost C2C for almost ten years now (wow!).

An aside - I remember reading an article in a magazine (name escapes me now) about the Williams Street crew. As an aspiring creative type, let me tell you, that would be a dream job.

Got more news about the upcoming Space Ghost DVD.
This comes from an IGN interview with Mike Lazzo.

Mike says the first set will have all the episodes in order, from Number 1, all the way to 'Explode'.

So based on this, here are the episodes that should be featured on the set:

01A - Spanish Translation
01B - Gilligan
01C - Elevator
01D - CHiPS
01E - Bobcat
01F - Banjo
01G - Punch
01H - Batmantis
01I - Self Help
01J - The Mask
01K - Gum, Disease
01L - A Space Ghost Christmas
02 - President's Day Nightmare
11 - Story Book*
12 - Girlie Show
13 - Hungry
14 - Fire Drill
15 - Le Livre D'Histoire
16 - Sleeper
17 - Jerk
18 - Urges
19 - Explode

* There are no missing episodes, rather the production codes changes to reflect the numerical order of the episodes.

This first set is actually about a season and a half, as Mike said, and I've heard from other sources that the mini-specials such as '01J - The Mask' will be included.

No word on anything feature wise, or a solid date. However, this is very exciting for me, and I can't wait.

Evan Dorkin, one of the writers, has written in his blog that he has recently done commentaries for several episodes, so it sounds like this will be a full-blown SE of some kind. How cool is that? :emoji_thumbsup:

I'm excited to see this set. Space Ghost is one of the defining parts of my college experience. Well, Space Ghost and beer. Okay, a whole bunch of stuff, but there was nothing like rounding up a couple of friends in the middle of frenzied paper-writing to take a break and bask in the craziness of Space Ghost and co.

Adult Swim Promotion Details!
7/10/2003

NBC is well-known for their "Must-See TV" block of programming on Thursday nights. ABC has their Friday night "TGIF" block. But when you think of The Cartoon Network, you think of "Adult Swim".

What is Adult Swim? According to its creators, it "is Cartoon Network's late-night programming block of cartoons that appeal to a grown-up sense of humor and other adult sensibilities". Rather than airing one night a week, Adult Swim is well-known for its Sun-Thu night runs at 11PM-2AM Eastern time.

What does all of this have to do with DVD? Glad you asked! The Cartoon Network, in conjunction with Warner Brothers Home Video, have just issued their first official pre-announcements for The Cartoon Network Adult Swim Promotion. They aren't giving away too many details yet, but they have said this much:

Volume 1: Space Ghost Coast-To-Coast
Features 16 episodes and lots of special features on a 2-disc special edition set.
English language, with Eng/Fr/Sp subtitles and CC
$29.98 SRP
Street Date 11/18/03

Volume 2: Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Features 16 episodes and lots of special features on a 2-disc special edition set.
English language, with Eng/Fr/Sp subtitles and CC
$29.98 SRP
Street Date 11/18/03

All information is tentative, and subject to change. But independant sources confirm that a huge marketing campaign is in-the-works pushing the November 18th date, so that's about as firm as you can get.

Stay tuned: we'll have more for you, just as soon as it's available.

So I guess they're marketing these DVDs as the Adult Swim collection. Kinda sucks, because I plan to only buy the Space Ghost discs.

They may be marketing it as the Adult Swim Collection, but it still looks like each show is available separately (i.e. "2-disc special edition set").

Just give me Sealab, Harvey Birdman, and Aqua Teens and I will be happy. Home Movies if it is possible too.
