I found this info on DVDTalk.com. Until it is comfirmed by the studio, I would take it with a grain of salt--However, it seems plausable:

    Release date: 10/15

    Retail: $26.98

    Special Features:
    -Commentary with director Christopher Nolan
-Commentary by Hilary Swank and filmmakers
-"180 degrees: Christopher Nolan Interviews Al Pacino," an on-camera interview
-"Day for Night" - the making of Insomnia
-"In the Fog," an exploration of cinematography with director of photography Wally Pfsiter
-"Eyes Wide Open," a featurette on insomnia the sleeping disorder
-"From the Evidence Room," a gallery of theatrical posters, stills and production designs
    -Theatrical trailer
-Additional/extended scene with optional commentary by Christopher Nolan

No audio info available (I would assume no dts, since Warner has not been a big supporter).

Sounds like a pretty loaded disc for what is probably my favorite film this year (it's between Insomnia and Minority Report for me--hard to decide...). Great direction, editing, cinematography, acting, writing, and score...I'm pumped for October!

Saw it in the theatre and I must say, I was very disappointed. I guess wuth Pacino, Robin Williams, and Hilary Swank(And C. Nolan), my expectations were real high, but this movie really lacked chemistry and originality. Not to mention the highly predictable ending.

Hard to be original when you are remaking a movie that is only a few years old. I thought the movie had a lot of atmosphere and great performances, can't wait for this DVD.

I sincerely hope these specs are accurate. If they are, 10/15 certainly can't arrive fast enough! [IMG]

Davis DVD has posted the same specs listed above and the 10/15 release date. Davis DVD also reports that Insomnia will be available in separate anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen releases.
    Still no audio info available.

The film did lack a certain freshness, but I thought it did a great job (much better than the original) of recreating the sense of sleep-depravation. The scene where Pacino's characteralmost runs into a truck that isn't there
    was particularly well-done, I thought.
