I just got a call from the wife who is shopping at Costco (she had instructions to pick up Spongebob Season One). She says they have a bunch of them and they're priced at $18.99 (!).

I'll post back and let you know what's up.

Great Barnacles, this deal is too good to be true --- but it is true! Just picked up 3 copies at my local Costco for $18.49 each. One for me, one for my Dad, one for my Father-in-law. I hereby nominate Jon_Are's wife for HTF Member of the Year! Woo hoo! eBay? Grrrrrr.

    Thanks for the heads up!!
After reading this thread I went over and picked up 2 copies (Azusa, CA). One for me and one as a gift. They probably had about 12-15 more.

This has got to be a misprice though, don't you think?
    I mean, even Costco.com has it priced @ $32.99

Scored one for me and one as a gift...they didn't have too many of these left at my location!

Also going fast was the LT Golden/Space Jam combo for $20-off...but I nabbed that, too!

    Thanks for the heads-up! [IMG]

This sucks, the nearest CostCo is at least 2hrs away. Plus I don't have a membership. I don't even think I'll buy it now since its missing an episode.

Got mine today! Thanks for the heads up OP!

I've just started recording the shows to archive to DVD for myself. $18 is well worth the cost of the time and effort to do that myself!!! Bring on season 2! =)

Wow, what a deal. My brother has a membership, so we went out over lunch today, and I bought the Spongebob box along with the Looney Tunes / Space Jam deal. Now I just need to go back and return my previous purchase to Target, saving over $40 in the process.

When I lived in Washington state my dad had a membership for Costco. Of course, they had mostly only bulk food back then. Now I live in Iowa and I'm not even sure if there is a Costco in this entire state. I really, really wish though.

How much is a membership there? With deals like the Spongebob and Looney Toons/Space Jam DVDs, I imagine you break even pretty quickly.

Looks like the bonus jellyfish fishing may be coming to an end: people are reporting over at DVDTalk forums that they have gone to local Costcos and been told the Spongebob sets had been pulled "and the item was pending deletion." Oopsy!
