I can see Halo doing alright as a derivative but still fun military sci-fi movie. Grand Theft Auto seems pointless since a large part of the games' appeal is that you essentially are running around a fantasy land inspired by popular crime movies: The Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface, Reservoir Dogs, Miami Vice, Menace 2 Society, and on and on.
