WEll I powered up my new set-up (Shiva in 107 liter cabinet vented with 4"flared portfull length powered by PE 250watt amp) last nite. It sounds pretty good with the little I've played it and not really tweaking. My problem is that at somewhat high volumes the sub "pops". I don't think it's a tuning problem because the cone doesn't reall loose control. Almost seems like the speaker has reached xmax... but can't hardly beleive that this would happen with a shiva. The sub amp is turned about a third of the way up,, the bass doesn't seem to overpower the other speakers so I don't think it's turned up too much? The sub is crossed over at 40hz thru my receiver.

ANY IDEAS?

Thanks in advance
Matt

Matt,
There's also an article at the FAQ/Primer page that might be helpful as well as other interesting items you may want to check out.
It's the second one down, "Home Theater Means Accuracy & Calibration."
