Hi, since I moved into my house I noticed that whenever someone hits a lightswitch or turns a fan on my amp makes a quick pop. My house is wired pretty bad, almost the entire 2nd floor is on one circuit breaker. I was wondering if there's a way to get rid of the pop. I have the amp and preamp on a surge protector but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Anyone have any ideas?

    Bob_S,
Is rewiring of wall outlet an option for you or adding additional circuit breaker? From the problem you describe it seem to be a combination of bad grounding and relays. Try other outlet to find one that is separate from it?

I can't really rewire anything because I'm just renting this house while I'm here at school. Also, I don't really know how. I tried plugging into a outlet on the first floor but since those are pretty much wired the same, I'm getting the same result.
