what would cause a poping noise to happen when i press stop or play on my dvd player? the noise comes through my speakers ( the noise is low). this just started a week ago and i havent changed anything in months. the dvd player is denon 2900 , and i have a seperate pre pro. frank

First off, you want to ask DVD player-related questions here in A/V Sources.

As for the noise, are you noticing this when operating the player through its front panel controls or with the remote? Also, how clean and dust-free is the unit?

the noise is commig through the speakers . when i have a dvd in and i press play and stop it maks a popping noise through my speakers. the reason i posted it here is a have seperates not a audio video reciever. ficgure i would give as much in formation as possible. frank

In the analog connection, impedance mismatches can cause this.

why would inpedence have a difference now? i have been usuing this set up for months nad it never happened before?
