Out of nowhere, I seem to have a weird thing happening. Certain words in stories on various websites have a hyperlink underline that when clicked go to another website. Example, there could be an article on ESPN.com where a football player mentions his retirement and the word retirement is underlined and if you click on it it takes you to a website selling retirement accounts. This happens on multiple websites and multiple types of words. I am running IE 6.0 and have been for awhile. Any ideas?

Edit: It even happens in this post. The word retirement above links to an AMEX website

Sounds like you got some kind of ad software installed on your PC. Go run adaware to find it and uninstall.

That's IE 6.0 too. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Underline Links and set this to Never.
Also, as Mike said go get Adware. It is a freeware program that will remove any spyware/adware from your PC. You can get it here.
