Does anyone know who the rights holder of this film is and what the chances of seeing it released to DVD in the future are?

The film rights are probably owned by Canal Plus the French company. They own the Elstree (Associated British - Pathe), British Lion and Ealing collections.

Hmm, I wonder if that means that a Canadian-Quebec release would be possible?
