Poly-fill measurement question (1 Viewer)

The alignment I am building calls for 64oz of batting.. I went to my local crafts store and bought it in bulk sheet form.. I got 8 yards of 8oz batting and it seems like a ton.. Did I do it right and it just looks like more than I expected or what?

I thought the same thing when I had to fill up my Tempest with polyester fill. I just crammed it all in there and had no troubles.
