Here is the ultimative poll to determine what Westerns are the favorites of all the HTF members.
It is not about the supposedly best Westerns, it's about your/our favorite Westerns!

It all started here, when a Top 50 list from volture.com was posted by @Sam Favate

You can add as many films you like, I will count every mention of a film with one point, so that at some point in the future - let say: End of February - I will post here the (end?) result.

@Robert Crawford will you transfer the already posted lists from the Classic Westerns thread over here? Thank you :)

I will count them all, also the honorable mentions.
You can post 10 or 50, it doesn’t matter. But 50 should be the limit.

If I do that then your initial post in this thread will be predated by those other posts with their favorite westerns. In short, your first post in this thread will be buried by older posts made yesterday and earlier today.

I didn't think of that. Then I will count them from the other thread.

It's been decades since I last watched this movie on TV and never found it on any home video format. Some of the movies on DVD are being released on Blu-ray this year so I'll upgrade them. Which one? The classic or the new one?
@Sam Favate
While there is a lot to like in the Russell Crowe/Christian Bale film, I will have to give the nod to the Glenn Ford movie. (Glenn Ford bore a striking resemblance to my father, who called him "my twin." They were about the same age, and died the same year.)

Finally, many posts in and someone has mentioned Major Dundee, certainly in my top five. Those that have not seen it are missing a lot. Come to think of it has anyone mentioned The Missing from 2003. I'll put together my list ASAP.
